Garvita OdiaBhubaneswar,14 August 2025: In 3 operations yesterday, 4 Govt functionaries including 2 health staffers of office of CDMO, Parlakhemundi, 1 health staffer of Muniguda CHC, Rayagada, and 1 Jr.clerk of office of BEO, Mahakalpada, Kendrapara who were nabbed yesterday, were arrested today by Odisha Vigilance in bribery cases and are being forwarded to the Vigilance courts. Further, following trap of Sri Jagdish Pattnaik, Clerk along with Sri Niranjan Nayak, Peon O/o CDMO, Parlakhemundi, searches were carried out by Vigilance teams and Rs.5,19, 700/- from table drawer of Sri Pattnaik and Rs. 1.5 Lakhs from his Govt quarter at Parlakhemundi were unearthed and seized. Total cash seizure comes to Rs.6,69,700/-. The cash appears to be illgotten bribery money. The Clerk is being interrogated to ascertain the source of the same. Further report follows.
