Garvita OdiaJajpur, 30/08: On the allegation of misappropriation of Govt money of Rs.7.35 Lakhs for distribution of Old Age Pension ( OAP) amongst the beneficiaries in Pimpudia GP, an enquiry was taken up by Odisha Vigilance. Thorough verification revealed that accused Santosh Kumar Jena, former PEO( Panchayat Executive Officer), Pimpudia GP under Sukinda Block, Dist- Jajpur presently attached to Danagadi Block, Dist- Jajpur has misappropriated Govt. money to the tune Rs.7. 35 Lakhs meant for Old Age Pension without distributing the same amongst beneficiaries. Hence, accused Jena was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Court of Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack today for the said offence. In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No- 26/2025, U/s 13(2)r/w 13(1)(a) of PC (Amendment) Act,2018/409 IPC has been registered against him. Investigation is underway.
