Cuttack: Addressing the 57th Foundation Day celebration of CISF at Munduli in Cuttack today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said India’s industrial development is impossible without the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Mr Shah said the force has been playing a crucial role in ensuring security at key industrial installations across the country. He said port security will soon be entrusted to CISF to further strengthen safety at vital maritime facilities.
Referring to the fight against Maoism, the Home Minister expressed confidence that India will become free from Naxalism by March 2026. He added that the CISF has made a significant contribution to this mission. On the occasion, Mr Shah also paid tribute to the great freedom fighters of Odisha. Later in the day, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to dedicate the IFFCO sulphuric acid plant at Paradip. In Bhubaneswar, he will also launch and inaugurate development projects worth 3,275 crore rupees.
