Mobile phones, cash & narcotic substances seized from Choudwar Jail

Cuttack,20.03.2026:The officials of the Cuttack Commissionerate Police found three mobiles, Rs 50,000 in cash and narcotic substances from the prison during a surprise raid in the premises of Choudwar Circle Jail today. The police have recovered mobile phones, cash and narcotic substances T these items were found hidden under the ground outside the cells of the prison. The cops have seized the mobile phones, cash and narcotic items and launched a probe in this regard. It is suspected that the narcotics and other items were smuggled into the high security prison. The cops also did not rule out the involvement of some warders and other officials of the jail in the illegal act.
