During the call, the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and trade relations. They emphasised that closer collaboration between the world’s two largest democracies can create opportunities in trade, investment and technology that benefit their citizens.
PM Modi described the tariff reduction as a positive development that will further boost economic engagement and expand market access for Indian goods in the United States.PM Modi and Trump also exchanged views on global developments and stressed the importance of peace and stability worldwide. The Prime Minister expressed India’s support for efforts that promote global peace and constructive international engagement.
